Restaurant Associates cater the 2024 NGV Gala

The NGV Gala is notorious for it’s elaborate and glamorous celebration of art, culture, music, fashion and food. Held at one of Restaurant Associate’s iconic venues, the National Gallery of Victoria, the NGV Gala welcomes Hollywood celebrities and people from all over the world for an evening of show-stopping entertainment.

The 2024 NGV Gala was held on 14 December and saw the Restaurant Associates site and culinary teams deliver an awe-inspiring food and drink experience for over 1,400 guests. Attendees were wowed with delicious canapes including Pumpkin Miso Macaron; Crispy Chicken Sushi Cones; Aburi Salmon; and Polenta with Pickled Mushroom and Capsicum. Our hospitality teams also served cocktails and drinks throughout the evening, and with two dinners for 400 guests running simultaneously at the South and North sides of the gallery, the Restaurant Associates team worked flawlessly and tirelessly to create the best experience possible.

The 2024 Gala was a celebration of the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the NGV. The dinner menu was therefore reflective of this, including Heirloom Tomato with Yuzu Stracciatella, Tosazu, and Kombu; Miso Toothfish, Fermented White Asparagus, Caviar and Sakura Leaf; and Strawberry, Almond, Salted White Chocolate and Kabosu for dessert. This truly unique and special event allowed our team’s creativity and passion for quality shine through to create unforgettable memories for all the evening’s attendees. 

Martin Benn at the NGV

As one of Australia’s most acclaimed chefs, we partnered with the talented Martin Benn at the 2024 NGV Gala. In collaboration with the Restaurant Associates culinary team, Martin created and delivered this year’s show-stopping menu, seamlessly integrating into the celebration of the Yayoi Kusama exhibition.
