Restaurant Associates take on the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge!

Yesterday, eight of our dedicated Associates laced up to take part in the Sydney J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. Proudly sponsored by one of Restaurant Associates’ long-term clients, J.P. Morgan, the event which is now in its 22nd year and takes place across sixteen cities and eight countries has grown to become the world’s largest corporate running event.

Our Associates joined over 12,000 other participants to race the 5.6km run around Sydney’s iconic Centennial Park – which this year was supporting the Indigenous Marathon Foundation.

The event provided the perfect environment for corporate teams to socialise, spend time together outside of work and strengthen their community spirit. With 48% of employees stating they would like to socialise with their colleagues more¹, events like this are such a powerful way to cultivate connection and support wellbeing.

The Restaurant Associates team ran an impressive average of 29:06, coming 56/533 teams that entered (and more importantly beating the New York Restaurant Associates team!)

Fostering a social culture in the workplace has countless benefits, from improving employee happiness, wellbeing and productivity, to enhancing teamwork and organisational strategy perception. Connection is essential, not optional, and employers that facilitate this through similar events will quickly see the benefits of a happy, healthy workforce.

We look forward to taking on the challenge again next year, thanks to J.P. Morgan for organising such a brilliant event.
