Hoi Polloi

Restaurant Associates has had a long standing relationship with Old Parliament House and so it was very exciting when the opportunity arose to open a new restaurant and extend our successful partnership.

A national icon, a place of great beauty, magnificent design and historical significance, Old Parliament House is one of Australia’s most loved buildings, and also home to the Museum of Australian Democracy.  But you don’t have to be a history buff to enjoy this spot, which was home to the Federal Parliament from 1927 to 1988 – during which many great changes took place in Australian social and political life.

HOI POLLOI is a place for the people, designed by the people. Our democratic menu provides something for the peckish, the hungry and the thirsty.

Fresh produce and local provenance is at the heart of the HOI POLLOI menu, where our approach is something altogether more contemporary, with classic flavours reinvented with modern twists, and continually evolving with the seasons.

But at HOI POLLOI, we believe food is what bonds us. It forges common ground, and brings people together. This is why we believe in celebrating local, and are dishing out only the best for our fellow folk.

With seating for up to 120 guests. We are open 7 days a week for lunch, 11:30am – 2:30pm.

Group bookings and for private hire on request.
