Luxperience Thought Leaders Program, Welcome Cocktail Party, Sunday 6 September 2015.

“Luxperience is the only travel trade forum of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere based in the Australasia and Pacific region that connects the world’s most exclusive travel providers dealing in luxury and experiential travel.” City of Sydney and Restaurant Associates partnered with Luxperience and Decorative Events to host The Thought Leaders Welcome Cocktail Party. This showcased a sample of what Sydney Town Hall can offer, setting the standards of the lavish three day Travel Trade Show ahead.


The theme was Emersion. Restaurant Associates Head Chef, Leo Gstrein along with his team, created an experience combining three main areas within NSW region, City Nights, Bondi Beach and Cattlemen’s. The menu included:

City Nights – Champagne, Caviar and Rose Station. Serving Reserve Bollinger, Osietra Caviar, House made Silver Dory Caviar and a Noble Cut Gin Cocktail to highlight the city life.

Cattlemen’s – Black angus ribeye 150 days aged, Hunter Valley suckling pig bun, truffle salami, 64 degree hens egg with Australian truffle, pecorino and a selection of Australia’s finest cheese. To wash the palate, we served Penfolds Bin 128 Shiraz and Grandfather Port.

Bondi Beach – Live stations offering lobster rolls, Crystal Bay prawn cocktails, Moreton Bay sashimi, half shell scallops with squid ink and kaffir lime as well as traditional Sydney Rock & Pacific oysters. To complete the journey, we offered Young Henry’s Natural Lager and Lindeman’s Hunter Valley 2013 Semillon.



As well as the stations around the room, the following roaming canapés were offered to the guests who were happy to stay and network. Kingfish tartare, tea smoked duck breast, foie gras mousse, shitake mushroom gow gee and house made ‘posh’ pies. To complete the dining experience, a selection of roaming desserts including Monte Carlo’s, hazelnut fond lichu chocolate & gold, petite pavlova.

The event was a huge success and the feedback was raving with continuous praise of guests coming to a stand through the trade show.
